Antics Coffee
Written and Directed by Egan Arntson
A New Sitcom
Elevator Pitch
Imagine if the Friends crew joined Rachel behind the bar at Central Perk, throw in some Portlandia, and the Hijinx of working in the service industry like Superstore. That’s how Antics Coffee is born. Five main characters do their best to keep Antics Coffee alive while their neglectful owners are on vacation.
Synopsis
As the main character of your life you’ve probably seen background characters at your coffee shop, but what if the people serving you coffee are the main characters? This Portland based sitcom oozes what makes coffee in the Pacific Northwest so special. Actors, students, yogi’s, and lost in life twentysomethings prepare your coffee at Antics Coffee… well sometimes prepare your coffee when they’re not distracted.
Antics Coffee primarily follows traveler Aspen, student Castella, club kid Elliot, do it all Jaz, and manager Tabor, as they keep this new cafe above water. New hire, Aspen, opposes the ideals of the other employees’ preconceived notions about customer service. All the while customers either never return or often come back to see what antics our heroes are getting themselves into.
